Set List

  • "(Put the Fun Back In) The Funeral"
  • "The Lions"
  • "You, Sailor"
  • "Mercy Street"

Hundreds of Lions is the first album of new material by singer, songwriter and guitarist Erin McKeown since her 2005 album, We Will Become Like Birds. McKeown funded the project by hosting four live Internet concerts called the Cabin Fever Sessions. Fans purchased "tickets" to stream the concerts live and were treated to intimate performances of what would become the songs on Hundreds of Lions.

Produced by longtime collaborator Sam Kassirer, Hundreds of Lions is centered on McKeown's voice, with ethereal string, brass and woodwind arrangements adding a lush musical bedding. She's joined in this performance by Todd Sickafoose on Wurlitzer; Sickafoose is also a member of Ani DiFranco's band.

Julie Adams and the Mountain Stage band close this segment with a cover of Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street."

This segment originally aired May 5, 2010.
