Peter Bradley Adams has released three CDs of his own material since disbanding eastmountainsouth, which appeared on Mountain Stage in 2003. The singer-songwriter, originally from Alabama, has also lived in Los Angeles and Nashville, though he calls Brooklyn home these days.

Currently at work on a follow-up to 2009's Traces, Adams is joined here by producer Lex Price on guitar and singer Molly Parden, both of whom are working on Adams' next record. Here, they preview some of his new songs, plus "I Cannot Settle Down" from Traces and "The Longer I Run" from 2008's Leavetaking.

Adams released an EP featuring songs from each of his three previous records — Traces, Leavetaking and Gather Up — while preparing his fourth album in Nashville.

This segment originally ran on May 28, 2010.
