Dan Mangan On World Cafe
fromWXPN
Vancouver's Dan Mangan is further proof that soft-spoken sincerity resonates with listeners. In the days since he released his first acoustic EP, All At Once, in 2003, Mangan has evolved from a community name to an international act.
He's more than just a pretty voice, though. Mangan has a knack for instrumental arrangements, often requiring as many as 20 musicians to flesh out his tracks.
His latest album is Nice, Nice, Very Nice, which has been likened to Bon Iver and fellow Canadian Chad VanGaalen. Hear Mangan perform songs live in the World Cafe studios at WXPN in Philadelphia.
