'Consumer Reports' Reviews Cell Phone Carriers
STEVE INSKEEP, host:
NPR's business news starts with bad reviews for AT&T.
(Soundbite of music)
INSKEEP: Consumer Reports has a new review that ranks AT&T at the bottom of the list of cell-phone carriers. That's based on a survey of 58,000 readers. We'd like to call AT&T to learn more about this, but sadly, the call was dropped. AT&T already struggles with a reputation for poor service, although we like to look at the upside of this: it helps you to memorize the phone number when you have to dial it four or five times.
By the way, the top-rated carrier in the survey is U.S. Cellular, and after that, Sprint and Verizon were tied for second.
