Husband-and-wife duo Joey+Rory released their second CD, Album Number Two, this year and they perform some highlights in their first appearance on Mountain Stage.

They met at a songwriters circle in Nashville where Rory Feek, already a successful songwriter (Blake Shelton's "Some Beach" and Clay Walker's "The Chain of Love"), had been performing. They began singing together some time later and came to stardom when they were featured on CMT's singing competition, Can You Duet.

Soon after their first album, The Life of a Song, and its lead single, "Cheater Cheater," included here, earned them a spot in the Country Top 40 as well as the Top New Vocal Duo award from the Academy of Country Music. Lately, the group has played shows with the Zac Brown Band, and Rory received his first songwriting nomination for the Country Music Association's Record of the Year as co-writer of Easton Corbin's "A Little More Country Than That."

This performance originally aired on December 17, 2010.
