The members of virtuoso group The Infamous Stringdusters all contributed songs to the group's third release, Things That Fly. Featuring Jeremy Garrett on fiddle, Jesse Cobb on mandolin, Chris Pandolfi on banjo, Andy Hall on dobro, Andy Falco on guitar and Travis Book on bass, the members share vocal duties on their first Mountain Stage appearance.

They open with a cover of U2's "In God's Country" from Things That Fly, and follow it with the instrumental "Magic #9"—a song that recently earned the group its first Grammy nomination for Best Country Instrumental Performance.

This segment ends with Mountain Stage host Larry Groce performing Randy Newman's "Harps & Angels," accompanied by the Mountain Stage Band.

This performance originally aired on December 23, 2010.
