RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.

A British defense contractor has a new concept for a fast-moving armored vehicle. Batman fans might say it looks very familiar. The company, BAE Systems, calls it the Raider. And the project leader happily admitted that the armored vehicle is inspired by the Batmobile in the movie "Dark Knight." He told the blog The Engineer the Raider copied the iconic wheel configuration. It won't unfortunately include the iconic driver.

It's MORNING EDITION.
