Delicate Steve On 'World Cafe: Next'
Correction March 1, 2011
In a previous version of this story, NPR Music erroneously reported that Steve Marion plays more than 40 instruments, as noted in the biographical information provided by Luaka Bop Records.
Delicate Steve is this week's "World Cafe: Next" artist.

Steve Marion, a.k.a. Delicate Steve, is not your average 23-year-old musician. His complex tunes flirt with tropicalia, polyrhythms and pop, but the overall instrumental sound is not quite as straightforward. With waves of sound effects and electronics, Delicate Steve's music is far more dense than it is delicate. Hear two tracks from Marion's debut full-length, Wondervisions, in this week's edition of "World Cafe: Next."
