Former astroPuppees singer Kelley Ryan performs songs she wrote for her CD Twist, in her first solo appearance on Mountain Stage. She's joined by personnel from Twist, including co-producer Don Dixon on bass, percussionist Jim Brock and singer Marti Jones.

Ryan, Jones and Dixon co-wrote "About a Girl," which Ryan says helped steer Twist into a solo effort rather than an astroPuppees recording, as she'd originally planned. Recorded in California, Ohio and Ireland (where Ryan lives part-time), Twist reflects on universal topics and emotions.

This segment originally ran May 27, 2010.
