"Gilda's Laugh Fest" is a Michigan comedy festival in memory of the late comedian Gilda Radner. This year organizers decided to challenge the world record for a rubber chicken toss.

ARI SHAPIRO, host:

Good morning. I'm Ari Shapiro.

As the rubber chickens hit the ice last night, Gilda Radner smiled down from somewhere in heaven. "Gilda's Laugh Fest" is a Michigan comedy festival in memory of the late comedian. This year, organizers decided to challenge the world record for a rubber chicken toss. They were hoping for at least 500 people to show up. Ultimately 925 rubber chickens flew through the air onto a skating rink, decimating the old chicken record.

It's MORNING EDITION.
