The trio of college friends from Murfreesboro, Tenn., that make up Those Darlins began writing songs together on front porches during lazy afternoons. But since their incarnation, Jessi, Nikki and Kelly Darlin have instilled a comical spunk to their country-tinged pop-punk that has taken them from small southern towns to stages around the country.
Growing up listening to Appalachian country music and rock, Those Darlins' sound combines beachy '60s pop with grittier '70s rock, making for a nice dose of musical nostalgia. The group's sophomore album, Screws Get Loose, was released in March.
