Video Captures Czech President Pocketing Pen

Thousands of Czech Republic citizens want to make sure they're not embarrassed again. Their president was caught on tape pocketing a pen encrusted with Chilean stones. Vaclav Klaus says it's normal to walk away with pens from a signing ceremony.

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

Thousands of citizens of the Czech Republic want to make sure they're not embarrassed again. Their president was caught on tape stealing a pen. Vaclav Klaus says it's normal to walk away with pens from a signing ceremony, but something caught people's eyes about the way he pocketed this pen, slipping it into his pocket underneath the table. Now, more than 5,000 people have signed up in a Facebook campaign to mail pens to their president.
