Hailing from Waterford, Ireland, O Emperor is an alt-rock band that's been more or less together for nearly a decade. Coming together in secondary school and working on their craft throughout college, O Emperor's five members started out with performances at the local biker pub.

Influenced by classic acts like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd after plenty of cover performances, O Emperor began to seriously compile original songs a few years ago. News of the group began to spread with a pair of EPs and some intensive touring, including a gig with Mumford and Sons in 2010. O Emperor released its studio debut, Hither Thither, last fall.
