A (Tea) Drinking Game For the Royal Wedding
Love it or hate it, the royal wedding is tomorrow. So Melissa Block and Michele Norris have a game the whole family can play: Lift your teacup every time the word commoner is mentioned or that you see more than three feathers in a hat.

MELISSA BLOCK, host:
Ready or not, the royal wedding is upon us. Tomorrow Kate Middleton will rise from commoner to princess when she says I do to Prince William. Now whether you're passionate or perturbed by the pomp and airtime this is consuming, Michele, we think that you can still have fun watching.
MICHELE NORRIS, host:
And whether your beverage of choice is a nice cup of tea, a spot of sherry or an American canned beverage, here is a regal drinking game -the whole family can play this. Each moment we're going to cite in just a moment will be a prompt to take a sip. Melissa, are you ready?
BLOCK: Yeah, here we go: Comparisons by TV anchors to the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. That's a given. Go ahead, take a sip.
(Soundbite of bell)
NORRIS: Uttering of the phrase jolly old England, well, that's an occasion to take another sip but perhaps this time with your pinkie finger extended.
(Soundbite of bell)
BLOCK: Mentions of the fact that Prince William won't wear a wedding ring, additional sip with ring finger extended this time.
(Soundbite of bell)
NORRIS: Network announcer reminds us that Kate is a commoner. Take a swig from your can because that's what commoners would do.
(Soundbite of swallowing)
BLOCK: And If Kate goes for it and wears a tiara, bottoms up, finish what's in your cup.
NORRIS: Of course, feel write to write your own rules. Don't let a monarchy dictate what you should be doing. This is, of course, America.
BLOCK: And cheers.
(Soundbite of bell)
