Guest DJ Moby
All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen entered the studio for this guest DJ session with a carefully planned list of songs Moby wanted to play. But when the two sat down to record, they ended up ditching the list and playing whatever came to mind.
Moby shared an eclectic and surprising mix of music, including songs he bought as a kid, when he says he obsessed over C.W. McCall's "Convoy" and was scared by Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die." You'll also hear Moby's passion for vintage drum machines (he claims to have the worlds largest collection of drum machines) and plays music from punk electronic bands such as Suicide and The Normal. We also hear new songs from Moby's next album, Destroyed.
