Derwin Panda, who performs as Gold Panda, has said in interviews that he likes to start with a blank page when he makes music. That mindset of starting from scratch can be heard throughout his excellent debut album Lucky Shiner and in this live set. Layering found sound upon found sound, Panda teases the familiar noise from his debut while adding an improvisational element to his music.

Recorded live at The Gorge on Sunday, May 29, Gold Panda performs here as part of the 2011 Sasquatch Music Festival outside Seattle, Wash.
