The punky Britpop band The Holloways takes its name from the north London streetside that hosts the music venue where the band members first met. Sounding like a mix between the out-drinking-all-night rock of The Libertines and the folky post-punk of Dexys Midnight Runners, The Holloways skirts the area between fun and just plain silly. Half the time, it's hard to tell whether to take the band's happy-go-lucky attitude seriously, but in the end, it just really loves the musical heritage it celebrates, with a special affinity for The Jam and The Clash.

Seattle-based KEXP presents a diverse mix of music, live performances and podcasts from indie rock and punk to jazz and old school soul.
