MICHELE NORRIS, host: Remember the "Star Wars" movies? That advice Yoda gives Luke Skywalker: visions of where he is going and where he's been.

(SOUNDBITE OF MOVIE, "STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK")

FRANK OZ: (as Yoda) Through the Force, things you will see; other places, the future, the past, old friends long gone.

MELISSA BLOCK, host: Well, you no longer have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to get that kind of insightful direction. It's now available for your car.

NORRIS: The voice of the master Jedi himself is now guiding GPS users as they make their way to the mall or the grocery store - just don't close your eyes.

OZ: (as Yoda) Continue on this route. Then, at your destination you will arrive. Yes, feel the Force now? Do you? Hmm?

BLOCK: Or if you're the kind of person who's more motivated by threats, you might prefer the voice of the dark lord, Darth Vader.

(SOUNDBITE OF GARMIN GPS VOICE)

JAMES EARL JONES: (as Darth Vader) In 100 yards, turn right. Proceed as indicated. Don't make me destroy you.

NORRIS: This voice lineup, just-released this week by the Garmin Company, which makes personal navigation devices. It could even make reaching the Death Star a bit more enjoyable.

OZ: (as Yoda) Your destination you have reached, powerful you have become.

ALEC GUINNESS: (as Ben 'Obi-wan' Kenobi) Remember, the Force will be with you always.

BLOCK: Funny thing, for some reason they are not offering a C-3PO option.

ANTHONY DANIELS: (as C-3 PO) We're doomed. There'll be no escape for the princess this time.

(SOUNDBITE OF "STAR WARS" R2-D2 EFFECTS)

KENNY BAKER: (as R2-D2)

DANIELS: (as C-3 PO) We've stopped. Wake up. Wake up.

BAKER: (as R2-D2)

DANIELS: (as C-3 PO) I've got to rest before I fall apart. My joints are almost frozen

BAKER: (as R2-D2)

DANIELS: (as C-3 PO) They've shut down the main reactor. We'll be destroyed for sure. This is madness.

BAKER: (as R2-D2)

DANIELS: (as C-3 PO) How did we get into this mess?
