Every August, Beloit College in Wisconsin reminds its professors of the gap between them and incoming freshman. For the Class of 2015, LBJ refers LeBron James not President Lyndon B. Johnson.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.

It's a measure of how fast the world is changing, that every August, a small college in Wisconsin reminds its professors of the gap between them and incoming freshman. Here's a sample of Beloit College's latest mindset list. For the Class of 2015, LBJ is LeBron James, Russia has never been run by communists, Amazon is a company, also a river, of course, and they'd rather break up on Facebook than face-to-face.

It's MORNING EDITION.
