A joke by comedian Nick Helm was named the funniest at Scotland's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Here the winner: I needed a password eight characters long. So, I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

DAVID GREENE, host:

Good morning. I'm David Greene with a joke. Ready? I needed a password eight characters long, so I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

(Soundbite of rimshot)

GREENE: That joke by comedian Nick Helm was named the funniest at Scotland's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You're dying for another, I know. Fifth place: I was playing chess with my friend, and he said let's make things interesting. And so we stopped playing chess.

Keeping things interesting, it's MORNING EDITION.
