Perry Campaign Raises $17 Million

Texas Gov. Rick Perry's presidential campaign announced that it has raised more than $17 million in the first seven weeks of his presidential candidacy. Guy Raz and Melissa Block have more.

And one final political note, the candidates' fundraising totals for the third quarter are starting to trickle in. Since August 13th, when he entered the race, Rick Perry has raised $17 million. His campaign also reports 22,000 contributors from all 50 states.

Ron Paul is the only other candidate so far to report his fundraising numbers. Over the last three months, he took in $8 million. While Mitt Romney hasn't yet announced his most recent total, his campaign raised $18 million during the previous quarter.
