Cut Chemist, a.k.a. Lucas MacFadden, is one of the finest turntablists in the world and a proud Angeleno. He got his start in L.A.'s underground hip-hop scene and worked with Ozomatli and Jurassic 5 before going solo.

On his most recent album, Sound of the Police, MacFadden decided to challenge himself by using just one turntable and loop pedals. He says it's the hardest set he's ever played live and, needless to say, it's fun to watch him execute it. During his live set, he also gave us a taste of what's to come with "Outro," hinting that his next album will lean more toward SoCal punk and less toward world music.
