What's Haunting America This Halloween?

As America hurries down the haunted trail toward Halloween, scariness is everywhere. Ominousness is omnipresent. So many real and imagined aspects of the future are frightening. On the right, Patrick Buchanan, author of the recently released Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025? howls about pending national death. On the left, Occupiers — riled by Wall Street and war and waste — take to the streets like outraged ninjas and zombies. How spooky is America at the moment? The ways let us count, Dracula.
