The Loom, a six-piece band from Brooklyn, is known for its electrifying onstage performances that combine lots of instruments and lots of chemistry, and now lots of buzz as well. After forming in 2006, the group recently released its full-length debut, Teeth. Recorded in New York, the record is fast and full of folk rock crafted with all the weapons in The Loom's extensive arsenal: banjo, trumpet, ukulele, French horn and mandolin, to name a few. The result is an album that alternates between modern and retro, with a sensibility that's right for autumn.

Hear two songs of The Loom's debut record on today's installment of World Cafe: Next.
