KCRW Presents: Feist
Feist performs at the Village Studios on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic.
We're in love with Feist's new album Metals, so getting to hear these songs live was quite a treat. She visited the Village Studios for this special session with not only a full band in tow, but the trio Mountain Man as backup singers.
This was one of Feist's first times performing these songs, and she explained how she took a much-needed hiatus from writing and performing to regain inspiration. It was an illuminating discussion with an artist who continues to find new ways to express herself through art, whether it's the Tinariwen-style guitar at the beginning of "The Bad in Each Other" or my favorite song (which almost didn't make the album), the intensely beautiful "The Circle Married the Line".
