Tinariwen's hypnotic music has influenced many bands, including recent Morning Becomes Eclectic visitors TV on the Radio and Feist. The Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert, some of whom have been playing together since the late '70s, have a special bond with one another that shines through whenever they perform.

The power of their poetry makes for an intense and intimate live experience. Tinariwen is one of the most popular and best-selling African groups on the planet, so it was a great pleasure to host this session in the KCRW studios.
