Double Take 'Toons: Looking Back At May 2011

It's been a tumultuous and exciting year. To mark its end, NPR Double Take will be recapping the biggest news events, going month by month to bring you the best cartoons on the issues.

In May, Osama bin Laden was killed by Navy SEALs in a raid on his home in Pakistan, and Nate Beeler acknowledged the completion of a task long undone. Donald Trump withdrew from the 2012 campaign, and Mike Smith observed some bipartisan approval.
