Washed Out's quick ascent from bedroom project to hyped indie upstart to Sub Pop signee is representative of how cream can still rise to the top in the music industry. Ernest Greene proved he's deserving with an album of synth-heavy feel-good music, marked by a strong dose of sensuality. In a live session which featured his wife on keyboards, Greene played favorites from Eyes Be Closed and his previous releases, as well as a cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game."
