Unusual Sight: Albatross Rides On Pickup Truck

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne. A man driving through Los Angeles was surprised to find a huge seabird in the back of his pickup truck. It may have been honking, because it was an albatross, a Laysan albatross, thousands of miles from home. A bird rescue group told the L.A. Times the big bird may have landed on a ship in the Pacific Ocean thinking it was an island. When the released the rare visitor, the albatross spread it's very wide wings and disappeared on the horizon. It's MORNING EDITION.
