The Supreme Court rejected parts of Arizona's immigration law Monday, but upheld the section that requires police to check the citizenship status of anyone they arrest or detain for another violation. Signe Wilkinson thinks the justices might feel differently if they were on the ground in Arizona, while Lisa Benson is concerned about a state's ability to enforce its own laws.
