courtesy of the artistIt's hard keeping track of all the music throughout New York in the summer. There's always some great artist in town, an amazing band you need to discover or a festival to check out.
One of my favorite festivals to thrive in the New York heat is Brasil Summerfest, which is excellently curated to include both classic artists and a wide variety of new acts. Whether you sway to samba, bounce to Brazilian hip-hop or groove to old school Brazilian rock 'n' roll, this festival has something for you.
And who better to ask about the artists than Béco Dranoff, one of the show curators? Béco tells us about some of his favorites in the upcoming festival. As they say in Brazil, Muito Legal! (Very Cool!)

Hay tantos eventos musicales en Nueva York en el verano que es sumamente difícil mantenerse al día. Siempre hay grandes artistas en conciertos, bandas increíblemente buenas recién descubiertas o ya consagradas.
Uno de mis festivales preferidos para pasar el calor insoportable de Nueva York es el Brasil Summerfest, una excelente muestra de artistas clásicos y una cantidad de músicos nuevos en la escena. Este festival siempre tiene algo para que todos disfruten, ya sea que te guste el hip-hop brasilero, el rock o la samba.
¿Y quién mejor para hablarnos de Summerfest que Béco Dranoff, el mismísimo productor del festival? Béco nos habla acerca de los legendarios artistas que consagraron la escena este año, y qué bandas vale la pena descubrir. Como dicen en Brasil: Muito legal!
