It's been a tumultuous and exciting year. To mark its end, NPR Double Take will be recapping the biggest news events, going month by month to bring you the best cartoons on the issues.

After bruising battles, the Supreme Court upheld the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka "Obamacare," and Wisconsinites voted to retain Scott Walker (R) as their governor. As depicted by Clay Bennett and Mike Keefe, neither victory was without cost.
