Double Take 'Toons: July 2012: Heaven And Hell

It's been a tumultuous and exciting year. To mark its end, NPR Double Take will be recapping the biggest news events, going month by month to bring you the best cartoons on the issues.

Scientists in Cern, Switzerland announced the discovery of the Higgs boson "God Particle" and Jimmy Margulies was sure to credit its original author. The shootings in Aurora, Colorado prompted David Fitzsimmons to wonder how many more times we'll do the same thing.
