PETER SAGAL, HOST:

Now, panel, who will be the next person to filibuster and why? Paula Poundstone?

PAULA POUNDSTONE: Joe Biden will declare that he will not leave the Senate floor until everyone has a shotgun and he has hugged all the senators' mothers.

(LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: Firoozeh Dumas?

FIROOZEH DUMAS: Senator Roy Blount of Missouri will filibuster until he gets to replace the more handsome Roy Blount, Jr. as a panelist on WAIT WAIT...DON'T TELL ME!

SAGAL: And Roy Blount, Jr.?

ROY BLOUNT JR: Strom Thurman is back, and as you know, zombies don't need to use the bathroom.

(LAUGHTER)

(APPLAUSE)

BILL KURTIS: And if we see that, we'll ask you about it on WAIT WAIT...DON'T TELL ME!

SAGAL: Thank you, Bill Kurtis for doing such a wonderful job of filling in for Carl these last two weeks. Thanks also to Paula Poundstone, Firoozeh Dumas and Roy Blount, Jr. I'm Peter Sagal, and I'll be back next week, hopefully with my own voice back.
