On Monday, Nicholas Maduro, Hugo Chavez's handpicked successor, was elected President of Venezuela, although the opposing candidate is calling for a recount. While in Canada, Justin Trudeau, son of former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, was elected the leader of the Liberal Party.
