The Senate has passed a bill to allow state and local governments to collect sales tax on internet purchases. While the bill faces long odds in the House, Nate Beeler fears the tax will take too big a bite out of cyber retailers. But Jeff Parker thinks tax-free online sales have been riding rough-shod over brick-and-mortar businesses for years.
