Robert Conley, NPR's First Host, Dies At 85

Veteran journalist Robert Conley passed away Saturday. In addition to correspondent roles at NBC News and The New York Times, Conley holds a special place in NPR's history: As the network's first host, he helmed NPR's first show, All Things Considered, starting in 1971. Robert Siegel, Melissa Block, and Susan Stamberg remember the venerable broadcaster.
