"When he heard the jukebox, and the way the jukebox kind of echoed in the room, he thought, 'This is how people want to hear music. They want to hear it with a little bit of fantasy around it.'"

Matt Ross-Spang, a recording engineer at Sun Studio in Memphis, says he's still astounded at the signature sound created by founder Sam Phillips. Take an audio tour of the room where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Howlin' Wolf made some of their earliest recordings.
