NPR's Scott Simon remembers Lisa Bonchek Adams. She died Friday after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She reached thousands of people through her blog about living with cancer.

This is WEEKEND EDITION from NPR News. I'm Scott Simon. Lisa Bonchek Adams died last night. She was a mother of three children and had breast cancer for the past eight years. She blogged and tweeted about living life joyfully because of, not despite, her illness. After all, she said, we all live in the shadow of mortality. Lisa Adams amassed thousands of followers on Twitter who looked forward to a tweet she posted every week. (Reading) Find a bit of beauty in the world today, share it. If you can't find it, create it. Some days this may be hard to do - persevere.
