January 13, 2017; Washington, D.C. - The NPR Politics team, in partnership with NPR Member station WAMU 88.5, is bringing its signature political analysis and discussion to a live audience with NPR Politics Podcast Live: President Trump... What's Next? at The Warner Theatre on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. Tickets on sale at NPRPresents.org.

"The beauty of the NPR Politics Podcast has been watching the way it fosters civil, engaging political discussion – that also has a heart," says NPR reporter and podcast co-host Sam Sanders. "And seeing all of that come to life in a live event will be amazing."

The NPR Politics Podcast is the most downloaded political podcast in the US, according to industry watcher Podtrac, which has ranked the top 20 podcasts in the country by monthly audience since last year. In the month just before the 2016 election, more than 1,000,000 unique listeners a week downloaded the show.

Launched in November of 2015, the NPR Politics Podcast has produced over 170 episodes to date — including daily episodes during the Republican National Convention, the Democratic National Convention, and the final two weeks of the election; as well as same-night episodes recapping important primary votes, the Presidential debates, and election night.

"We have been completely overwhelmed by the support and encouragement we've gotten from listeners of the podcast," adds NPR White House Correspondent and podcast co-host Tamara Keith. "Actually getting to meet them in person has been a highlight of the 14-month adventure that has been this podcast. As people running for president know well, there's nothing like the energy of the crowd. And I can't wait for this show."

Among recent accolades, the NPR Politics Podcast was named as one of the best podcasts of 2016 by Vulture and earned nods from Esquire and The Atlantic in their roundup of must-listens and reliable news sources during the election.

The live taping of the NPR Politics Podcast will feature some of the voices that guided and informed audiences through the 2016 presidential election: regular hosts Sam Sanders (@SamSanders) and Tamara Keith (@TamaraKeithNPR) as well as Ron Elving (@NPRRelving), Scott Detrow (@ScottDetrow), Susan Davis (@DaviSusan), Domenico Montanaro (@DomenicoNPR), Danielle Kurtzleben (@titonka) and Scott Horsley (@HorsleyScott).
