Ready for an internship like no other? NPR interns play a vital role in NPR's daily operations in almost every division of the organization - from NPR News and Music, to Communications and the Office of the General Counsel. Our interns work alongside experienced staff members to gain unparalleled experience in their chosen field and contribute their talents and energies to NPR's mission.
One highlight of the NPR internship program is Intern Edition, a multimedia program produced, promoted, and launched entirely by interns. The program is the hallmark of our internship program, and the debut of each edition is an organization-wide celebration. Experience the most recent program here. Also, look back at the semester before that!
Take a look at our internship opportunities, and let us know how you can support our work. Legal internships in the Office of the General Counsel have different application dates and requirements.
