Jess Naudziunas was born, and subsequently raised, in the Chi. Not Deerfield, Aurora, or Lake Forest, but Chicago…for the love of some superior being don't make that mistake to her face. Since then, her life has been one big journey; traveling to such far off, and exciting places like Oklahoma, and the island of Kos off the coast of Turkey. Jess graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2008 with a degree in English Literature and African-American Studies. In Tulsa, Jess interned for Nimrod Literary Journal and Urban Tulsa Weekly Newspaper. She originally applied for NPR’s Bryant Park Project internship, but—as we all know—that wonderful program is no longer. Luckily, the good people at WESUN found her resume acceptable, and the journey continues. She enjoys being a Type-A productive personality and keeping well-read and well-fed. Jess manages to eat 3 times her weight in spinach and bell peppers every morning for breakfast. In her spare time, she likes to read the Economist, discuss the intricacies of Chicago pizza, and channel the thoughts of every dog to cross her path.
