Intern Edition Spring 2005

Features

Welcome to Intern Edition's Features section!

This section is designed to give you a glimpse of the intern experience - not just producing the show, but living and learning in the cultural center of Washington D.C. Click on Summer in the City, for example, and follow our Arts intern through the havoc of a Bruce Springsteen concert, or listen to our executive producer interview a journalist covering the Iraq war. Take a minute to check out our workshops page, where you can hear audio from seasoned journalists like Bill Marimow and Diane Rehm, or click on Intern Alumni to hear past interns talk about how they climbed the ladder to a full-time job.

What do NPR interns do when they're not working? They create stories. They ask compelling questions. And in the space of ten weeks, they try to learn as much as they possibly can. As you peruse this section, you will meet the faces - and the voices - of a new crop of aspiring journalists, and hear their experiences in their own words.
