A Message from the Executive Producer:
Going into its seventh year, NPR's Summer 2006
Intern Edition features
a montage of student voices.
As interns, we are given the opportunity to learn the in's and out's of radio
journalism throughout NPR's different departments. As a part of
Intern
Edition, we are given another amazing challenge: to develop a 60-minute
newsmagazine featuring stories from the local D.C. and Los Angeles areas.
Intern Edition is completely created, reported and produced by us.
We are at the forefront of our learning experience, acting as our own and
each other's teachers, students, leaders, mentors and colleagues.
I would like to welcome you to the new 2006
Intern Edition Web site!
Explore the site to learn more about our summer experiences. Take a closer
look into our brown bag sessions, guest speakers and out-of-office outings.
Thanks to everyone here at NPR who made this semester's show possible. We
have learned from the best and are working hard to make sure this year's production
of
Intern Edition lives up to NPR's impeccable standards.
Our show premieres AUGUST 3, 2006. Check back here often for updates and web
exclusive materials throughout the summer.
Happy listening!
