the summer 2003 NPR interns
Just what is Intern Edition, you ask? It is an opportunity for the summer interns at National Public Radio to get together and produce their own radio newsmagazine. From start to finish, the project is 100 percent developed, reported and produced by interns, who come from as far as the West coast to as close as within the D.C. area itself.
The diversity of the 2003 summer interns will be reflected in the program. We've been fortunate to have a variety of perspectives, cultures and ideologies present while working on the show. The interns are reporting on news, features and other issues they found both personally interesting and newsworthy. Some of the stories will make you laugh, and maybe even cry, but I am sure after listening to the program you will not only be impressed by the talent of the Intern Edition staff, but also excited about the opportunity to participate in an internship at NPR yourself.
As this site continues to develop throughout the summer, please check back to follow our progress as we undertake an amazing project to bring you the Next Generation of radio. Happy listening!
