Mariya Rasner
Mariya (Masha) Rasner is a graduate student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, majoring in International Human Rights Law and Humanitarianism. She is also Editor-in-Chief of The Fletcher Forum, a journal of international affairs at The Fletcher School.

For two years prior to her graduate studies, Masha worked as a coordinating editor with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Prague, Czech Republic. She has published with two journals, Transitions Online (Prague) and Human Rights Defender (Moscow), and worked with the Center for Journalism in Extreme Situations (Moscow).

Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, Masha comes from an émigré family that landed on U.S. soil in 1991. She received a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature and Foreign Affairs from University of Virginia.

Masha has a passion for literature and fascination with the law - and a childhood dream of reporting on sports. Before she does that, however, she hopes to publish a few books and cover a few trials.
