Skye Rohde
Skye Rohde was born in Boston in a small apartment on Massachusetts Ave. during the first snowstorm of 1976. She graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in May 2002 and hopes to become a radio reporter while freelance writing on the side.

Skye received her B.A. from Hampshire College in 1998 and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Papua New Guinea in 1999, where she developed the interest in oral history that led her to a radio internship at WBUR in 2000. She says she is always asked for directions, no matter which city she finds herself in. Skye loves to run, hike and explore and tries to always keep her eyes and ears open. Her favorite recent discoveries include the Senegalese singer Ismael Lo, the 91st Street Garden in New York City's Riverside Park and the website www.transom.org.
