Job Listing
Colorado Public Radio - Denver
KCFR is seeking a general assignment reporter to produce news features, spots and occasional interviews for our program Colorado Matters. KCFR is an exciting place to practice journalism and Colorado is a great place to live. Denver will host the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and some of the key areas of coverage include education, immigration, alternative energy and oil drilling, agriculture and the ski industry. Colorado is multi-faceted - urban and rural, old west meets new west, astoundingly rich (think Aspen) to desperately poor. The position is based in Denver with the opportunity to travel around the state for stories.
We're looking for someone with strong news judgment, the ability to work independently or collaboratively, as the work requires and someone who can advance the craft of radio storytelling in an environment where professional development and innovation are encouraged.
Experience in broadcast news required; public radio fundraising experience ideal. Please send resume, three professional references and audio samples to: Human Resources, KCFR, 7409 S. Alton Court, Centennial, CO 80112.
Application deadline is Dec. 21. KCFR is an equal opportunity employer
