    WGCU-FM in sunny Fort Myers, Florida is hiring a full-time reporter/ host. This is a new position.

    Reports to the FM Station Manager/News Director. Serves as the local host for the NPR program, All Things Considered, as a news reporter/producer and as an anchor for on-air shifts during weather-related events or other emergencies. Researches, writes, and produces daily FM news stories and features. Performs the duties of an FM general news reporter/producer, on-air afternoon host, and upon request, contributes to WGCU Public media's three additional media streams: expressions magazine, WGCU-TV local programs, and wgcu.org.

    A Bachelor's degree plus two years experience or a Master degree is required as is experience producing and hosting public radio news and public affairs programs. Along with resume, cover letter and five references please include an audio CD of one short format, one long format and one example of on-air hosting. The search closes on July 10.
