China Cochran - Langston University, Langston, OK
This Detroit native is a recent graduate with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in International Studies. China studied abroad in Gambia and Senegal while interning at the Observer, a Gambian Newspaper and at Gambia's Radio One station, where she produced a public affairs show on "Education in the United States." At Langston University she worked as a writer for the Gazette campus newspaper, as well as on-air personality/reporter for KALU Radio and reporter/producer for KALU TV. During the 2001-2002 school year, China was NABJ/LU President.

Dimitria Campbell - Paul Quinn College, Dallas, TX
I've recently graduated from Paul Quinn College, which is a historically black college in Dallas. Currently, I am working at K104 radio in Dallas, producing DJ Nate Quick from 10am-3pm. Also, I intern at a gospel radio station as music director. I live in Ft.Worth Texas looking for a job in radio, music/ news. I enjoy listening to music, singing, acting, directing the choir at my church, and shopping.

Katrina Matthews - Louisana State University,
Baton Rouge
Katrina Matthews is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she earned her master's degree in liberal arts and bachelor's degree in mass communication. She currently serves as public information officer for the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency, with goals of pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Katrina worked for WRKF Public Radio as a news reporter, and published an article in The Baton Rouge Advocate. In April 2003 she was selected to participate in the International Radio and Television Society Foundation's Minority Career Workshop. Katrina has been a member of the National Association of Black Journalists for five years, and is a member of the Baton Rouge Press Club. She also volunteers with SERVE BR!

Robin Mizelle - Florida A&M University, Tallahassee
I am a junior in Broadcast Journalism. In school, I work on the school newspaper, The Famuan. I have been the assistant opinions editor, deputy opinions editor, staff writer and many other postions on staff. I also work with our radio station, 90.5 WANM, as a news reporter, sports correspondent at live games, writing, recording, etc. to psa's, for The Famuan. In Tallahassee, I interned at a sports news radio station, writing, recording, creating eight and two minute segments for a sports show that aired Tuesday and Thursday nights. This past summer I interned at 106.1 WLVO in Live Oak, as a reporter in the field, covering various city meetings and politics.

Jackie Fernandez - Florida International University, Miami
Jackie Fernandez will be graduating from Florida International University in Miami, Florida in December. Jackie first participated in a Next Generation Radio project in 2002 in Miami at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. She's interested in broadcast production, and this project is the first time she's put a story together and voiced it. Jackie is currently interning at NPR member station WLRN in Miami, working with afternoon talk show host Joseph Cooper.
